Taken from Jazzsteppa's 'Hyper Nomads' (live dubstep) album, Jazzsteppa beefs up the original, a broken beat / dubstep /New Orleans live sound combining cute female vox and unexpected angry dubstep bass drop; innovative! T Power's DnB remix is a slick minimal approach but with maximal funk similar in style to his recent outings as Mr Sofalumpkins. The future garage offering from Bunny On Acid soaks you in 2 step lushness. And saving the best for last, up and comer Real re-imagines the original i...
Chateau Bruyant, previously an electro label, has changed its focus to dubstep but still with that sexy lush French filtered electro sound. Marseille's glitch hop duo MC2 deliver some uber sexy French glitch step funk. 'Beat Em Up's intro is electro P Funk synth heaven, crashing into heavily distorted bass, cut up with programmed beats and computer game parps and whizzes, all carried off with joyous melodic aplomb. You can imagine a conductor waving his stick to an orchestra of dubstep electroid...

'Bloodbath VIP' lives up to its name; a brooding gurning bass erupts into ferocious gun fire rat a tat bass, complete with kung Fu FX and horror Movie vocal samples. Scary stuff ! Absolutely loving 'Can't Find the Beat' and you've got to check the Video!
The vocals are from an infamous interview with Chase & Status by Tim Westwood where he basically said he didn't get dubstep and couldn't dance to it. Despite the novelty element this is actually a hard-hitting dubstep crowd pleaser that wil...
Previously releasing to Tim Healey's label and now branching out with their own new label, Brazilian producers Felguk (who have been asked by Madonna for a remix!) turn in a stripped back slick, electro jackin house number. The flip is where Felguk's bass manipulation and inventiveness truly comes to the fore on a collab with UK Bass master Example on 'Plastic Smile'. A tale of 2 parts in which an elephantine baggy bass and Example's UK urban drawl on a 90bpm dubstep track collide with a...
Taken from Karton's 'Find The Constant' LP 'Bang' gets totally ripped apart by the man that can do no wrong, Calverton, for a heavy drum step relick. Creative, edgy, the sound of your future right now! This track really packs a punch, fast drums, bad boy bass line, gun shots and a no holds barred breakdown into full on D n' B, phew! Two Fresh provide the bass line 4/4, Filth Collins walks a fine line between D n' B and Dubstep. Matt Cant enlists Rubi Dan's Caribbean soca mc stylings for a jung...

OK, if you like your music to give you the heebie-jeebies look no further!
Recently signed to Brighton super label Skint, Afghan Headspin turns in a rollickingly full on bass tastic, tense thriller-step remix. A chain saw serrated, technoid bass line warrior, be afraid be very afraid! Jack Stat's original is actually even scarier due to a very worrying vocal sample and an unnerving phone ringing through out. More laid back vibes are present from Jack Stat on 'Positive Vibes' a heavy rub a dub r...
It's not big, it's not clever but it will bring a smile to your face and get you on the floor. With lts old skool stabs on the intro you'd be forgiven for thinking it was the summer of ‘89 but fast forward 20 years and the gritty subterranean sounds of dubstep Britain get their grubby mitts on proceedings. Bad boy vocal samples and a pumping reverberated b line keep the party going. Meanwhile the classic ‘Public Enemy Number 1' riff gets an airing on the intro, with cut up ‘Hype The Funk' edits ...
The deeper more thoughtful reggae infused sounds from veteran dubstep producer and label head Rob Sparx on this collaboration with New Zealand female producer Majika. Collie Buddz' righteous vocals add gravitas to an already serious and soul searching track, interspersed with amen break and sense of time suspended. A dubtronica modern day love story! New Zealand's Truth turn in a sympathetic remix, staying true to the original's spatial half time slow mo tempo, but with a touch more aggro bass w...
Botchit's sister dubstep label, Studio Rockers deliver a slice of high energy party breaks-step dub shizzle ahead of Jazzsetppa's Hyper Nomads album. Jazzsteppa combine cutting-edge digital production with acoustic instruments, fusing hard - line sounds with dixieland, jazz and blues to create a unique brand of dance music. They are widely credited as the first dubstep artists to perform live. Hip Hop heavyweights Foreign Beggars deliver their unique brand of lightning paced Mcing. Top notch re...
The second release on this new label bought to us by William Breakspear (veteran breakbeat /DnB producer (Entity / Slim Blue) and SixAM . First up SixAm 'Fader Murderer' delivers a mid tempo trip hop glitchy dub ragga bleep fest. Deliciously dirty and mangled with a growler of a bass line. Next up J.Me J's 'Come & Get It' is a B Boy 80's inspired crunk glitch-hop, dub steppy low ender with truck loads of funk. William Breakspear flexes his breakbeat /D N B/ dubstep/ credentials on the relent...

A new label bought to us by William Breakspear (aka Entity / Slim Blue) & SixAM. The 4 track EP sees breakbeat, dubstep and hip hop all with a focus on choppy beats, heavy bass and a sprinkling of glitch. J.me'J's 'Gut Romper' is a brooding, techno, bass-heavy, glitch-tastic sci fi dubstep stomper. Fredo (Tru Thoughts) delivers some party time wobble on this hip hop jam with delicious 70's funk samples, expert glitch knob twiddlings, delicious bottom end and smooth vocals from A.S.M. Label h...
Expressillons the French electro, breaks inspired label also has a dubstep off shoot. 69DB delivers reggae vibes and deep atmospherics, punctuated with dance hall vocals and brass samples. Plenty of wobble factor on the bass and a general smoke induced haze. Flip for a more cut up edited version of the same track it appears, complete with fat squelch and sub frequencies to keep the bass line crew happy.5 Out Of 5Reviewed By: SOTO...
Following on from their stand out: 'Studio Rockers @ The Controls' EP & LP, Studio Rockers next release see's An's deep, dark & brooding number, complete with sharp, minimal beats and a haunting piano melody . This is pretty menacing stuff. Then there's the teasing vocal sample that gives way to 'that bassline!' 'Always Sharp', keeps things minimal and fidgety, tight production, very eerie, with vocal samples. 'Holki', is a different beats all together, less inner city , more a day trip...
There are, and have been, many pretenders claiming to prophesy their righteous'roots' and deliver an understanding of reggae and Caribbean culture. Black Canvas AKA Ryder Shafique, Mr Melody and co-written with Chubby J from Pressure Drop (plus some tasty collabs with Chase & Status and Ed Solo), clearly understand their roots and interpret it in a thoroughly convincing and honest way. You can feel the absolute dual-immersion in both the UK and in the West Indian cultures that this album emb...
Not your regular dubstep track but as with any genre it tends to evolve into different fragments, but for arguements sake,,,hey it's Dubstep. Taking in a lot of influence from Buckfunk 300 this is a bass lovers dream, from the word go the drop comes quick and then booooom, a massive array of basslines that hit frequency upon frequency. This has all the energy of an Oldskool rave track from the LFO days but its also bang up to date for the dancefloors of today, I guarantee that if you play this o...

Dubstep
Yes a new dubstep singles section and what a release to start it off, here we have one of the biggest Drum & Bass releases and its been dubsteped right up by the man like Caspa. This will be certainly a big big crowd pleaser especially with the more commercial dancefloors making it big on the underground and little over the overground just like a Womble on Wimbledon common. One of the biggest basslines around at the moment and add this to a very catchy ragga lyric/song and you have a track that has been blowing up worldwide over the past few months. On the flip Babylonia takes a famous sample from the Rockers movie and again uses it to mammoth effect.
