Novelty tune supremo Fresh conjures a fantastically hammy intro doing the whole Alice Cooper horror movie routine before lurching into a sinister, grunge-splattered plod before the accelerator kicks into a high-speed drum ‘n’ bass surge. The intro is also here as what could be a very useful DJ tool around Halloween. ‘Steam’ sees him team up with Deekline and Wizard plus dancehall vocalists Ivory and Spyda for a ska-tinged raga-breaks kneesup. Drum ‘n’ bass and breaks are essentially the same thing at different speeds so this was an obvious, and possibly highly commercial, move.
